We gave you the snow before Christmas.

We wanted you to know

it's the only thing

we can still do for you

besides love you,

always ...

From high beyond the skies your eyes can see,

we are the angels who used to walk

beside you.

We see you tired, in pain,

feeling lost and alone.

And we know how hard you try

to get up one more time,

to put one foot in front of the other.

We know it's hard

and only we know how hard

it is.

So this year, especially,

we knew you needed snow

before Christmas.

It is always our magical gift to you --

we love watching your eyes

when the first flakes appear

like we did in the old days.

We can still see that far,

see that deep into the snowbanks of time

and find that warmth

even on a cold December day.

We just wanted you to know

that time and distance are your boundaries

and not ours.

We sent you snowflakes to remind you

that we are still in the childhood of eternity,

and so are you.

So when you feel that love has passed you by

and life is following in its footsteps,

remember that we walk no more.

We fly!

You can, too,

over all snowbanks and roadblocks.

It is time.

Come out and play.
