from the 1959 "Traveler," the yearbook for Cople School. Cople is now an
elementary school in Westmoreland County, Virginia, but back in 1959, before
Westmoreland County consolidated its schools, it housed all twelve grades, from
first through twelfth, and provided in that setting an excellent education for
those who were willing to make the effort. All of the pages in the 1959 Yearbook
are represented below except for advertising pages at the end - some really small photos on the pages would not adapt to
digital enhancement, but you'll find most here of what is in the book itself. If
you like what's here, let me know - I have all the other Cople "annuals" for the
time I was there. Trivia for you: "Traveler" was the name of Robert E. Lee's
horse - Lee was, of course, born in Westmoreland County. More trivia: Cople's
colors were green and white. This yearbook was done first, because it was the
very last - the next year we all went to Washington & Lee High School in
